Great experience. Very clean & good character. Helpful staff and nice 25mins walk from the city. Perfect distance for an evening stroll.

It’s hard for me to add anything new about this place but the fact that it already become a weekly tradition to come here and relax. I absolutely love both saunas and the kusuriburo — they’re the reason I keep coming back again and again.

I am a Canadian studying japanese in a near by town. My friend and I both have tattoos and were welcomed warmly. This is the best appointed sento I have been to in Japan. Lots of baths to choose from, very clean and well priced for the amenities. We will absolutely be coming back often.

This was my first onsen type experience and it was absolutely lovely! I am a Canadian with several tattoos and a large tattoo covering my forearm. Though the woman at the front desk didn't speak English, she was extremely kind and helpful as we used google translate to communicate. There's plenty of lockers for your belongings and it was only 10 yen for a small towel and 40 yen for a small bar of soap. There wasn't a single question about my tattoos and I didn't feel like an outlier or got any stares. I was pretty nervous to try something like this but I felt extremely safe and comfortable here. There's one cold bath and a few hot ones (41.4 degrees) with a small medicated bath that could fit 2-3 people. We didn't use the saunas. We went around 10 am on Sunday and there were maybe 5-8 other woman there

*Separated male and female I had a wonderful time at Hakusan Onsen, there were many different types of baths, such as jet massage, electric bath, 47°C bath, and a cold bath. There was also a hot and dry sauna that could be used for a slight up charge. I loved it so much definitely go!!
