5件It’s certainly a unique and very local experience. The water is great and owners are daughter with her father. Extremely kind, attentive and polite. The place is a little old and worn out but has its own charm of being very local and authentic

A very comfy and stowed away onsen in the midst of Kagoshima. The owner is old but very very friendly. You can rent a private bath for 500 yen or public for 250. I asked the owner if he was ok with my tattoos and he was fine with it.
You can tell that it’s an old Onsen but still very nice. They offer private baths for 500¥ which is very nice and especially good for people that want to try out Onsen for the first time and are too afraid to go to a public one. The washing area within the private Onsen has only cold water which is kind of a bummer but had a great experience overall!
If you want to see a slice of local life and experience sento culture, this place is tops. Don't forget to bring your soap and shampoo! You can buy a small towel for ¥250 if you forget yours. One of the locals in the bath told me that it was the best hot spring water in all of Kagoshima!
