It's not that clean or new. Better to choose another that's less moldy.
One of the finest typical Japanese onsen. I have been going here for five years now. They have 2 specious outside pool, 2 saunas one with the smelly herbs which is refreshing. It is priced reasonably , cheaper than other places nearby.
Arrived there 10 mins after opening, expecting to have the onsen mostly to myself, but surprising there were quite a few customers already. There weren’t any foreigners, very local onsen with 8 onsens and 4 saunas including a yomogi steam sauna and salt sauna. Love that there’s tatami in the restaurant and relaxation corners! Definitely worth a visit. 営業時間: 10:00~01:00 (週末は09:00から) 平日: 750円 週末: 850円
Hoten-no-yu is a large onsen that offers gender-separated indoor and outdoor baths. The facilities are well kept, with restaurant, massage service, resting area and 8 types of baths and sauna. Good prices (¥700/adult on weekdays, ¥800/adult on weekends). Children pay half price.
