Comfy room, yummy food and reasonable price. The bus close by goes to Kumamoto castle directly in about 20 mins, the famous park Suizenji park is also in walking distance. Plus they allowed us to park our bikes by the side of the entrance, which was very convenient to us. The restaurant in the first floor of the hotel proved very delicious local food in a very reasonable price.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are definitely Japanese style with the bed on the floor and all amenities situated low to the ground. It is a great place for a westerner to experience a little more authentic Japanese style while maintaining some western details. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast had many authentic Japanese and western options. Overall, a very nice stay.

Room was compact but good, onsen was great, izakaya downstairs was lively and tasty. Staff very helpful, offering to book restaurants, etc. Lift smelled of smoke occasionally - they should get rid of the smoking floor.

We ended up accidentally booking a smoking room here (our fault, not their's) but unfortunately they were completely booked up. Japanese style futon room, nice, besides the smell. Bathroom was tight if you are used to Western style. It's got the traditional touches if that's what you are looking for, but wasn't there most comfortable for a quick stay

Nice service with a free drink at the hotel restaurant, in general it's a clean and excellent hotel. If i really have to pick something not right, you can all see in the pictures, so 1 star is deducted. Too weak shower, too small trash bin and yes, there was some stain...
