Extremely friendly to me as a foreigner, despite everyone else being locals. Very friendly staff, great baths. If you're concerned about the nudity, don't let that stop you from enjoying this great pleasure.

Translated from the onsen guide: Long ago, this was a Jomon forest. Later, it became a rice paddy, and as times changed, it became a place of manufacturing for cutting-edge technology. In the early summer of 2005, we decided to take the plunge and return it to its Jomon forest state once again. So, we dug deep at our feet and, to our surprise, found a natural hot spring of nearly 40°C. Then, we brought in andesite from the Yatsugatake Mountains in Shinshu and natural wood from Hiryuno in Kyushu, and Japan's number one bath-building expert, the late Tetsuya Goto of Kurokawa Onsen in Kumamoto, lovingly created an open-air bath. This place embodies the spirit of the Jomon period, the origin of Japanese identity and harmony. It is a hometown, a hometown in the city, born from the red of the revival of Japanese culture. The spirit of our founding

On a long layover at Haneda I really was craving a dip in an outdoor onsen, after being on the road from Thailand for 2 full days. Fatigued and sore from sitting on ferries, buses, and airplanes, I wanted to relax in an onsen and feel myself again. I found this on Google just looking at the photos and took the train to find out. And Omg I am so happy I did. One of those moments I'm so glad I was born Japanese. Lol. Great atmosphere, close to airport, quiet, relaxing, outdoor bath is beautiful, all natural hot Spring with all the minerals in it, tons of room, water just the right temp. I took a cold plunge too and I was reset. Best layover ever.

Really cute rustic day-use onsen. The facility isn’t super sparkling clean, but it has a really nice vibe and the deep yellow onsen water is great. The outdoor bath was really hot (~42C, nice!) and the sauna was great too (~100C, nice!). The staff was very friendly. Accessibility to people who don’t speak Japanese is probably alright, the most important sign pointing to the male/female bathing areas was translated and the rest the friendly staff can probably make up for. The place surprisingly is *really* easy to get to from Shinagawa station (~25 mins with one change and trains at 10 minute intervals) and is perfect for a longer layover waiting for a Shinkansen ride. Today, the indoor bath was out of order because of a defect but the outdoor bath and the sauna were plenty.

Absolutely fantastic experience, truly a locals gem. Was the only foreigner in the place. The sauna is at a deadset volcano heat and the pools are super relaxing. One of the best things I’ve done in Japan
