Ledian Spa Ebisu

This was a surprisingly unique experience. I initially expected a traditional onsen, but it turned out to be much more sauna-focused than onsen-style — in a good way. To walk through the process: upon arrival at the ground-floor reception, I received a wristband and a pair of shorts. The shorts run a bit small, so I’d recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. Everyone wears shorts throughout the bath and sauna area, as the entire space is interconnected — including the sauna rooms, benches, and lounge areas. Men and women use fully separated sauna and bathing facilities. The receptionist also asked whether I wanted a lounge chair. Lounge chairs are an additional charge, but if you’re visiting with friends and plan to relax and socialize, they’re worth it. Otherwise, there are a few benches available, which are sufficient if you’re mainly there for the sauna. I was also given one body towel and one small towel. Next, I went up to the second floor, removed my shoes, and placed them in a locker matching my wristband number. From there, I entered the locker room, changed into the provided shorts, and stored my belongings. This area is also where people dry off and blow-dry their hair. Wearing only the shorts, I entered the wet area, which features three saunas at 90°C, 100°C, and 110°C, two cold plunge tubs, and one hot tub set at 40°C. Nearby are about ten shower stalls with curtains, along with vending machines. In the inner section of the same space, there are around 30 lounge chairs and about five benches. You’re allowed to bring your mobile phone to the lounge chairs, which makes it easy to relax, scroll, or play on the phone while cooling down. No talking on the phone though. Most guests come primarily for the saunas and to hang out with friends. There are also group discounts — 10% off for pairs and 20% off for groups of three. The crowd is mostly in their 20s to 40s, and I noticed that tattoos are allowed, which is quite rare for spas. Some guests had beautiful tattoos, adding to the unique and interesting atmosphere. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. Each visit has a 1.5-hour time limit, and if you exceed it, there’s an additional charge of around ¥350 per extra 15 minutes (I may be slightly off on the exact amount). The crowd was actually one of the highlights — lively, social, and energetic without feeling overwhelming. I visited on a Wednesday around 9 p.m. and stayed until 10 p.m., and there were still at least 20 people inside. The space itself had a great atmosphere: relaxing, welcoming, and surprisingly restful.

I had a great experience, the morning spa price is a great value. I love they let you have your phone in the resting area of the spa and they give you towels and a swimsuit, the dressing area is nice as well and has all the amenities you need. I will be back!

The reception staff is really disappointing and rude. We got charged extra due to false gender info input because men’s price is higher then ladies. The ic key didn’t respond to the gate well so my friend got stuck at the gate. There was no one to help him, and unbelievably he got charged for extra time extension in the end because they claim that he got out of the gate 1 min late. In reality they kept us waiting without sending anyone to help. We were being asked to go through the gate and paid again which wasted more of our time. Very disappointing service and unprofessional handling. It’s a pity

Not bad but some details could be improved. Strange to have seats facing bath area. Dressing room floor gets wet easily. I burnt myself on sauna floor as it was too hot. Showers too close together so water runs into next cubicle. Should allow people using baths and sauna to use seats without upgrading.
