It’s fine. The bed is clean, and the bare necessities are provided. Wifi is essentially non existent, it is there but extremely poor. Regardless of whether you’re staying one night or multiple, they make you check out at 10 and back in at 3, you otherwise have to pay to stay until noon. The insulting part is that cleaners come into the room and begin cleaning at 9, making it difficult to sleep in or even feel welcome being in the room. They provide a key to a locker, which is located on the first floor, meaning you must hop between floors should you need something in your bag. A minor irritant, but the annoying part is having to hand your key in each time you leave the hotel. As there is only one receptionist, I found myself waiting in line to hand the key in and get the key back. The bed is nice, but the entire system is completely janky.

A nice hostel in Kumamoto. It's very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the onsen. It's well located as well. Good place to rest while visiting the city.

Positive: -I booked last minute (10 pm) and accidentally booked a male-only room. I called and was able to switch the capsule. -The bed was really comfy and there was a wooden platform beside that gave more space to the capsule. -I had a beautiful sunrise view from my bed. Negative: -The shower rooms on the 8th floor look great at first glance, but there are issues (moldy floor mats, poor water pressure, etc.). Whatever you do, don't use the face wash/make-up remover. I did and my eyes burned. When I tried to rinse them out, but the motion activated sensors were not sensitive enough. -There is one common area to eat. There is no posted closing time, only a request to not be loud. Guests were complaining that people were trying to sleep, but couldn't due to the noise. The hotel should consider putting a door or closing the room after a certain point to reduce tension between guests.

This is a public washroom open spa type hostel when everyone walk in naked and bath together then dip into the hot pool. There's no private rooms for shower. Staff was polite. It's not so well designed in a few ways. Robe, soap, towel and toothbrush is provided. 1. There's only one socket for charging in the cube, and in 3rd floor public area there's only 2 2. Locker is separated with your cabin, means if you have stuff you need to travel up and down to get it especially from large baggeges 3. The locker room smells aweful 4. Only 1 small towel is provided per night stay, so if you need to shower 2 times a day then you need to dry it by yourself

As described by others, you essentially need to leave the premises daily between 10 am and 3 pm, unless you’re willing to pay an additional 1500 yen. I have not experienced this before, making me reduce the service score. Also very poor English in reception. This said, the twin room I booked (single visitor) was really good - I have no significant comments here; definitely ok 👍
