I have a Japan Rail Pass but as I hadn't been able to use the full value, I booked this hotel. The price for a night was 5000 yen, which is extremely great value for money with a big hot spa and double bed. They have 8 elevators, which allow guests not to wait for one for a long time.

We had a good stay in this APA Hotel in Niigata. It was close to the station but also near the other attractions of the city. The rooms are very small. The breakfast was great you can try the rice from Niigata. The checkin process is all digital which was a bit confusing and the person of the hotel needed to help. But it was a great hotel.

Nice hotel, well located, clean, good service. But…. Tremendous bed!!! Too soft mattress, noisy… I couldn’t sleep well and I have back pain. Sorry to say but for a hotel, a good sleeping is what makes the difference

It is a nice, new and very big hotel. The value for price is insanely high, as expected of APA. Prices can surge during peak demand. Due to its sheer size it can get busy, but that is natural. Despite the complaints by some silly and rude tourists who expect everyone to get on their knees for them, the hotel is very efficient. However, the rooms are extremely dusty. I have never had this issue in any other APA hotel. I assume this is because of its location immediately next to a busy street junction. Unusually, no air purifiers are provided in the rooms. I know the cleaning staff works hard, but maybe they are not enough. During my long stay I often see surfaces not dusted off during cleaning, or rapidly building up dust again. I can see thick dust build up on the ceiling outside the air conditioner flap. Please invest in air purifiers, adjustments to cleaning technique and maybe filters in the air conditioning.

The hotel is a cheap and located at a convenient location. It is about 10 mins walk from the nearest station. It is about 30mins walk to the Sado kisen terminal in case you are catching the earliest ferry. There were 2 APA hotel nearby, this is the larger building one and further away from the station. I went to other one which has a more classic design by mistake. There are many facilities like convenient store and restaurant at the lobby. there's also a gym and shared bath as well. I got a solo room, the room was clean and comfortable. However the view was from my single bed room was a wall of another building, so not very ideal. Visited 1 Aug 2025
