Basic sento/bath house. You can borrow small and big towel for cheap, and they do sell travel size shampoo/conditioner. They do provide shampoo and soap inside the bathing area, but no conditioner. After bath, you can dry your hair using coin hairdryer and buy some drinks. Overall good experience but it’s better to go here when you’ve been to a sento before because the staff doesnt speak much english and they will scold you when you’re doing something wrong that might inconvenience other people (understandably) Seem to be tattoo friendly since I did have small one and nobody bats an eye.

Would not recommend. Extremely rude older lady staffing onsen. Woman snapped at us for turning up at 7.10pm when it closed at 8pm. We paid for entry and I checked sign, no mention of towel costing anything to rent, went in and grabbed a towel on the way to use as other onsens we have been to had free towels. (I would have happily paid the few dollars for towel if I had known) The woman came over and berated/verbally abused my sister who speaks no Japanese (making her cry) before grabbing a young woman who was a guest and was just leaving the bath to tell me she asked us to leave. The young woman was extremely sorry and understandabley very embarrassed likely ruining her experience at the onsen also. Go to another onsen.

I have been to onsen before in vacation communities, this is a little different – it was the only non-Japanese here – if you go, be certain to read up on acceptable behavior, and etiquette for using onsen. Very cool experience. Make sure you take off your shoes before you walk in plus you’ll be scolded by the boss!!

Very rude lady at the entrance today December 14, 2025. I chose not to enter the baths because she physically shoved me out. I saw the main signs were in Japanese and did not see the note about shoes needing to be removed in English on the left side. There is a way about going about educating folks when you are in the service industry. And then her way.

I really enjoyed this bathhouse and absolutely love that it opens early. The owner was actually quite kind, courteous and helpful (although I'm sure it helped that I speak Japanese)! **Directions for travelers and those that do not speak Japanese** 1. Women's entrance on the left, mens entrance on the right. If you come as a couple you immediately separate. 2. Upon going through the curtain, REMOVE shoes and place in lockers (located on your right for the men and the left for woman). Open the locker, places shoes inside, and then Remove the wooden key to lock. 3. Pay the owner (window to your immediate left or right depending on male or female entrance). 4. Purchase towels - you will need a small towel for bathing and a large towel to dry yourself. There is soap for your body and hair inside the bathhouse. 5. You can rent a locker inside the dressing room using a 100 yen coin if necessary (if you brought a backpack like we did). Be respectful, kind, courteous and you will have a lovely time. I LOVE the aesthetic - very old school nostalgic vibes. The owner was so kind and gave me a complimentary Tsubameyu towel which really warmed my heart. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
