Incredible service, chill vibe, and beautiful cherry blossoms. Couldn't imagine a better place to stay. Shibuya is amazing if you're lucky to have her for meals .

My fiancé and I stayed for one night in the private onsen room to celebrate us getting married soon. We were absolutely floored by the high level of service and attentiveness from start to finish. They picked us up from the station even though we were running late from missing our connecting train. The staff were very accommodating and made us feel at ease despite the language barrier. It is recommended to know a little bit of Japanese to help. Dinner was very fun with our host (sorry we didn't get your name, please let us know). Chef Fujimoto-san is incredible and we showed him that we enjoyed it by eating everything. We were also gifted couple chopsticks as 箸 is a homonym with 橋 bridge for our wedding "幸せの橋渡し". We will cherish these forever. We accidentally left them when we went to Osaka but the staff were very kind to send them to us by Yamato Transport 黒ねこ. Breakfast was also a gauntlet and we we're told "がんばって!" since it was such a huge spread. We agree that we will be coming back to visit again. どうもありがとうございます. とても楽しかったです. またね!

We stayed here for three nights and loved it!! The room was big and clean with a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding mountains. The mini bar was free and though the surrounding area did not have much for restaurants, the staff could order food or even ice cream to your room, and then there was also the hotel’s restaurant. If you want to eat in the restaurant here, I recommend booking early, because we almost missed it due to it being full. Lucky for us, someone cancelled though, and we were able to go after all. It’s very traditional Japanese food, made very well. Yet they even accommodated me when I mentioned I’m a bit bad with raw fish and fried it for me instead! I didn’t even ask for it, but was happily surprised during dinner. The spa and onsen were also great. As Finns we thoroughly enjoyed the Finnish sauna and can say that it is pretty authentic!! My partner has tattoos, but was able to go in the onsen too after he covered them up. The staff was apologetic but nice. If you don’t want to go through that hassle though, there is also a private onsen you can book. We enjoyed that one too. My only ”minus” would be that the bathroom and toilet in the rooms were a bit old fashioned, but that didn’t bother us really.

Fantastic experience. We stayed in late September, off-peak season, and there were only a few guests besides us. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. Our room was huge, with our own private onsen, and the facilities left us thoroughly impressed. We couldn't get enough of the Finnish sauna! We regret not choosing the meal-inclusive plan, but the concierge ordered food for us from a nearby sushi restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely gorgeous place. You wouldn’t expect this gem in that small village. You drive in there and it’s like completely different place. The inn itself is older but well maintained. Our room was huge, with bedroom, two seating areas, separate dinning area and tub. We also had huge balcony with view of the pool. The facilities are great, with heated pool, separate spa, steam rooms and more. Beautiful garden will make you feel you’re somewhere else. Food was of course absolutely delicious. Would love to go back and spend more nights and the food value increases on the second night. Highly recommend this place.
