5件Nishiki-yu is a lovely sento with a very authentic local feel. They have a sauna, hot bath, cold bath and even an electric bath, so there’s a great variety to enjoy. The owner is incredibly friendly and very welcoming to foreigners, with impressive English. I had a really nice conversation with him during my visit. They also sell towels, shampoo and body soap if you need them. Easily the nicest sento in Kagoshima and well worth a visit.
It's a good Onsen but the staff wasn't very nice. We went outside after about 2h to smoke and going back in they told us that we can only get our stuff and can't use the Onsen anymore, which makes absolutely no sense because we paid for a period of time.
Best onsen! Super friendly and tattoo friendly. The owner even gave us free ice cream as a souvenir. Great massage chairs. Definitely check it out if visiting kagoshima
Great neighborhood sento / onsen. You can rent towels and borrow soap. There's a sauna. Lots of regulars. A footbath, an electric bath, a cold bath, and a super hot one. I was treated respectfully as a foreigner of colour, and I spent a great couple of hours there.
It is open until late. It has everything an Onsen should have. Multiple baths (hot and cold), electric bath and sauna. Shampoo and body wash is not provided. Otherwise solid Onsen!
