浦添の湯

My friend and I were craving onsen during our trip to Naha in July 2025, and were happy to find Urasoenoyu. It is an affordable but very nice local onsen with salt water baths attached to a sports complex. Please note tattoos are not allowed. Both the staff and other patrons were very friendly. The price depends on the day because there are various discounts. We happened to come on a discount day, the 26th, so we only paid 750円 for unlimited time. It is a little difficult to find. Enter into the parking area of the sports complex, then either 1) take the stairs in front of the pool/gym reception and then the elevator to the 3rd floor, or 3) find the stairwell underneath the building and go to the 3rd floor. You must buy your ticket from the vending machine, then give it to the friendly staff in exchange for a towel bag (bath and hand towels) and key bracelet (same number for shoe locker and clothes locker). Lockers are large enough for small hiking bag with glasses shelf and 2 coat hangers. In the summer there are special cooling shampoos and body wash, but only in the standing showers closest to the door. Otherwise it’s the cheap but effective pink-and-green shampoo and body wash combo. There are several baths. Inside there is a large hot bath 38°C and cold bath 22°C so very nice in the summer. I recommend going between the hot and cold baths. There is also a small outdoor hot wooden bath. There is a steam sauna and dry sauna. You must exit the baths by 9:45PM. We had such a nice relaxing time here and I’d love to come back one day.

Various sites online claim that this sento allows people with tattoos. Even though I just have a couple small ones, I was turned away. Disappointing. This shows the ignorance of the management

Price vs the onsen size. A very local one so it suits me. Natural spring water is great! Walking to Furujima Monorail is possible.

Only 2 little bathtubes. Old and dirty infrastructure. Nod a good place for tourists! Aroma Hot Spring is much nicer.

Basic hot spring. One pool to soak in. One cold bath. Dry and wet sauna. Small rest area for after. Free towels with entrance. Could be cramped if busy but I went after ten so not bad.
