My best friend and I had the 2 hours Zen Treatment at the Four Seasons Spa, and it was simply spectacular. Minami, my therapist, has truly blessed hands — she worked through every tension and block in my body with a masterful blend of classic Swedish massage and Japanese acupressure. One of the best treatments I’ve ever had. Absolutely worth every cent.

Went there couple years ago, got a full course massage (bath+massage+facial), and it was the most comfortable, relaxing experience. I almost fell asleep during the massage, and that’s the goal. I want to go again recently, but I was reading the reviews and not sure about the quality now.

Had an issue with the spa and the management was not accommodating. They offered no form of recompense, not even a beverage. Also tried to order a glass of champagne in the waiting area and was denied. Not a very luxurious or relaxing experience. Would recommend any of the much better spas closer to central Kyoto. You will also pay a resort fee for services so overall much more expensive than other spas in the area for same service.

My husband and I got the Jet Lag Recovery package during our stay in Kyoto and it was the best spa experience we’ve ever had, by far. The staff were incredibly kind and great at their jobs, and the massage and facial were superb. It gave us the rejuvenation we needed after a very long flight and several days of heavy walking. One tip I wish I’d have known in advance is that if you come early you can use the sauna and baths while you wait for your appointment time.

A perfect experience from start to finish. I had the “Four Seasons Signature Massage” (120 mins) and it was hands down my favorite spa service I’ve ever had. The Spa staff were exceptional and my therapist was the gold standard in quality. Never been so impressed! Highly recommend the Spa and would definitely return.
