I went to a public bath called “Sintoku-onsen” in Senbayashi-Omiya yesterday. It’s located just off the shopping street. The place has several types of baths, and you can even enjoy an open-air bath while watching carps swimming in a large aquarium. What impressed me the most was the sauna — it’s about 85°C, not very spacious, and it gets full with around ten people. But the cold bath, on the other hand, was surprisingly wide and deep. The part that moved me the most was that all the baths, including the cold ones, use soft water. Normally, after using hard water, my skin and hair get dry over time. But with soft water, my skin and hair became smooth and silky again — almost like silk or pearl. I’m really grateful for that, especially now that the weather is getting colder.

Sizeable bathing area compared to others in the area with a very nice outdoor bath. Cold baths are at a good temperature and jet baths have good pressure. Must visit for sento lovers

Superb ! So relaxing and comfortable

Its really a nice public bath or onsen near from my place. Its quite cheap (400 円) for public bath only and if you want to borrow towel or soap, add around 150 円. Make sure to try outdoor onsen (especially during spring, autumb, or winter), its really good. After bath, buy cold fresh milk there (vending machine). Go homr and sleep welllllll.

I went on a rainy night and there was no one. The combination of steam sauna and the very cold bath was fun.
