Even for guys, the bath is small so it is not the best for usage if there are quite a few people there. So the ticket to use other Dormy bath is a good option which I did use onyado which is just opposite. The name looks new, but the building is old. It was the first time in a long time that I could stay in a hotel that uses an old-fashioned key, not a card key. The facilities are also old, but they were kept clean. There is a big difference between the floor of the room and the unit bath, and I was concerned about the steps (one step) placed in the room. Be careful when you are drunk. The breakfast buffet was a standard business hotel lineup, but it was good. I did not use the large bathroom this time. The large bathroom was for men only. The room rate was a little cheaper than other hotels due to the older facilities. Stayed on a weekday, 2025/6. About 10 minutes walk from Sendai station. I wonder if you can get there without an umbrella even on a rainy day if you go through the covered shopping street. There was a sauna, but the only tidy space was one chair in the bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide variety of dishes such as Sendai's famous sasa-kamaboko, beef tongue curry, and zunda rice cakes. I had planned to go to the famous morning market, but I ate too much and became full, so I gave up on the morning market. Since it is a dormy inn, there are complimentary nightly buckwheat noodles, ice cream at night, and lactic acid drinks in the morning.

Very old hotel though it is still clean. The onsen is only for man. For lady if you want to do onsen have to go to their affiliate hotels. Do choose the one nearest though the staff sometimes will try to make you go to the one further. The breakfast is very basic.

My recent stay at Dormy Inn EXPRESS Sendai Hirosedori was fine. The location was its strong point, with just a 10-minute walk to Sendai Station. Upgrading to the room with the tatami mat area was a nice increase in space. However, the hotel itself felt a bit worn. The decor and room design seemed outdated and could benefit from modernization. Unfortunately, the public baths weren't an option for my family as they were for men only. Considering the slightly dated feel of the property, the price we paid felt a bit high.

Dormy Inn gets 4 stars for the value/quality offered for the price. The beds were comfortable, the shower had good water pressure (though the sink did not), there was even a tatami lounge area. It was quite a spacious room compared to other budget hotels I have stayed at. The amenities include free hot bath (men only though), free access to a bathhouse a few minutes walk away, free dinner on weekdays and free noodles for midnight snack. The staff were efficient and friendly. The location is also pretty ideal, about a 10min walk from the station, close to shopping and there are several family marts nearby.
