Really bad parking situation and did not explain anything to us regarding parking despite us asking. Front desk does not want to help nor answer any questions. Told us we would get discounted pricing on parking at certain lots. We confirmed with parking lot we were in the right place and gave them the ticket that was stamped by the front desk. In the end, we paid full price and wasted 30 minutes of our time. Secondly, while waiting to use the lobby bathroom, the front desk comes over to ask us what we are doing assuming we were loitering instead of asking us if we needed help. Felt totally unwelcome.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. I went in with the expectation of a business hotel with an attached onsen - and it definitely was that, but it was also a lot more than that. Location is also so vital to any accommodation and Dormy Inn Matsuyama is smack-dab in the center of an adequately-sized open-air (but covered) shopping arcade with nearby combini, fast food joints, and small-town cafes and restaurants. Sidelined outside the arcade are multiple izakaya and the like. It's also less than a block away from Donki, and a few blocks further are hobby shops, stationary shops, clothing shops, tourist shops touting the city's prized goodies (mikan and everything you can make with it, towels, etc.). I cannot help gushing that this location is just pure perfection. The room itself is a very standard business hotel room. Spacious to a good degree with a small bathroom and attached toilet. Bed is springy and pillows are very firm for those who love a firm pillow. A/C was great. The onsen is on the top floor where opposing sides serve men and women. There is also a lounge area with free massage chairs and goodies post-soak. The onsen is natural waters, and you can tell after a good soak! Your skin becomes softer and smoother. And a tiring day's worth of body aches go away or dissipate after a good soak. (There is also an open foot bath located at their front entrance!) The staff were all very polite and helpful. They are available at all times of the day to help assist. At the end of the day, my stay was so comfortable and relaxing that I wished I had booked another night just to relax some more.

👍Onsen and sauna were fantastic and clean. Room was clean and comfortable. Free ramen after 9:30 and other little free services were a nice bonus. Great service and perfect location opening right onto the shopping street of Matsuyama. 👎Room was comfortable but the pillows were a bit too small and firm.

Service and room were quite modern and standard. However as other hotels in Arcade room was quite narrow to open up suitcases. Foodies are full of local fish and was enjoyable. Location of Okaido Arcade was great.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Probably the best hotel experience we had throughout our entire trip this month (travelling from Nagasaki to Fukuoka, Beppu, Iyo Ozu, Matsuyama and Kobe) The onsen is clean and nice and even has a rotenburo, but it tends to get quite crowded between 9-11pm. You can enjoy free ice pops after your bath, use the free massage chair, and even get free noodles at night. The only downside was the crowd in the hotel but it was kind of expected as the location was so good.
