😔😭😡🤬these are my emotions right now as I am extremely disappointed in this hostel service. 1. No internet at all, during my entire stay. They didn’t even care to fix it 😔 2. The curtain of my capsule did not work properly and they refused to change another capsule for me 😔 3. They refused to store my luggage after check-out as my flight is in the evening. This is the first hostel that does not allow customers to store their luggages 😭 4. Non of their staff speaks even an English word 😱 I don’t know how they can still survive. May be this is Japanese standard and society where I come from a different world so I got disappointed for these kinds of inconvenience 😔😔😔 Overall I am so sad and angry 😡 🤬 Never again!! Terrible customer service 😡🤬🤬🤬

Great hotel, very organised, clean and quiet. They have a onsen/sauna free for hotel’s customers, laundry room, and restaurant. The hotel is a few hundred meters from Kawasaki station. Restaurants, cafés and shopping malls within a few meters

Perhaps I’m just unlucky, in fact none of the receptionists I have met speak even a little bit English. So non-Japanese-speaking guests be prepared to use Google translate all the time. They also refused to store my luggage before check in AND after check out, which is a big inconvenience for travelers. This is indeed a big shock after staying at hostels all of the world. The capsules look like having been used since 1980s. Rooms are smelly and the Spa didn’t work (water with unusually high temperature) during my stay. There are toilets on each guest floor but the cleanliness is always a big issue. A lot of second-hand smoke in the lift. Not good value of money despite the cheap price. Would avoid at any cost.

I stayed there only for one night on 24 th Dec 2022 because most of reasonable capsule hotels around Tokyo station were fully booked on the date. Eventually Rex Inn Kawasaki was far better than I expected. I got there before 10 pm but the restaurant in the hostel was open until around 10 so I had dinner there. Surprisingly the dinner was super reasonable and so yammy!! The Spa was awesome! I was so tired on the day and it was a very nice treat before I had a good sleep. The the capsule dorms are in a classic type but very specious and the room was nicely warm when it was cold outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a big suitcase and it didn't fit in the secure cabinet but the front desk kept it in the reception for me. If I visit somewhere around Tokyo next time and need a place to sleep, I'll definitely stay there. Thank you very much 💖

Friendly staff, nice baths and cool experience. I recommend experiencing a classic Japanese 80's vintage capsule hotel. When you first arrive you have to take off your shoes and keep them in a locker. Then go up to the locker room level to store your things and change into pajama type clothes. You can then go up to the bath level, which is interesting as it is totally Japanese style. You have to strip naked which just a small towel for modesty, shower and scrub yourself first. Then immerse yourself in beautiful hot water. This is as Japanese as it gets. Then feeling all refreshed, go down to your capsules level and climb in as if you were a sailor on a ship. Comfortable and private!
