If you are wondering where to board the bus, its right in front of starbucks at dogo onsen eki. The resort is not bad, worth the price, but nothing to shout about. If you dont want to take the bus, go up to the flight of stairs to the orange temple, the resort is abt 100metre from the carpark from the rear of the temple.

I want to give a better review because all of the facilities were really nice! However this was overshadowed by the severe food poisoning that I had from the buffet. I was throwing up all night and then had diaherra, I'm still recovering after 48 hours Probably avoid the seafood that's been sitting on the trays and try the other cooked items Edit: What's worse is when we told the staff about this they said "no one else had it so maybe you're just sick". Which is the wrong attitude to have and they provided absolutely zero help to us.

The difficult balance between cost and quality is off. Everything is "OK", but the end feeling is somewhat...sad. They strive to tick all the boxes, like bringing new amenities each day.. but they just leave them all packed and hung in a plastic bag on your door knob..you get a bag with:bath towels, tea bags, and toothbrushes. All rooms have TVs and fridges and baths and toilets... but they smell all so slightly of tobacco, fridges and TVs are smallest possible models. Mind you there aren't any major flaws, and if you think in terms of sheer numbers and ticked boxes, everything is ok. Mediocre. Leaving you feeling vaguely dissatisfied, but not complaining.

Super kind and passionate staffs. Room's clean and you can borrow Yukata in various designs. The onsen in the ground floor is great and well equipped and have nice open-air bath. It's on the top of the hill next to the Dogo onsen main building, but the hotel offers free shuttle bus from the hotel-Dogo onsen-Dogo station in every 30 minutes. I definitely would stay again if I go to Matsuyama.

This is a good, budget hot spring resort in Dogo Onsen, in Matsuyama. It is quite close to the Honkan and the tram line, the open-air bath has a great view of Matsuyama City, and the buffet-style menu is really fun and convenient if you are traveling with children. It's definitely worth staying here.
