The Dogo Onsen is a must-do. Please note that they offer 2 price options : - one with just access to the public bath - one with access to public bath + premium public bath + access to tea room with tea and a snack offered. We chose the second option, great for taking your time and talking with your family, but also with the staff during the tea time as she explained many things to do in the city. We also did the small visit of the dogo onsen’s historical rooms and baths where the emperor and his family used to come. The visit is free and takes 5-10 minutes. I highly recommend going for the option 2. Please note that tattoos are accepted.

Very pretty to look at from the outside. The service was excellent and they guide you pretty well, even if they struggle with English for a tourist like me. I love the snack and tea provided but the onsens itself was lacklustre and on a smaller scale when compared to dazzling exterior

700¥ for an hour's soak is amazing value. It's super clean, the free amenities are really good quality and it's tattoo friendly. The staff are really helpful.

Wow, what a great to have a bath. 2500 yen for 90 min, private room tea/sweets. Very historic and historical. From what I was told, the movie "spirited away' was based on this bath house.
