Wonderful Santo, absolutely spotless, shampoo, conditioner, soap, moistening lotions all available free and all high quality. Lovely rested area upstairs afterwards to drink the delicious ice cold beer (on tap). Highly recommend.

Unusual sento (I've been to many in this and other parts of Kyoto), because: 1) it has been very drastically renovated (in 2025). The bath, sauna and dressing room are 99% brand new, so cleaner impression than most sento. 2) The traditional relax area on 2F is very nicely designed, very high ceilings, large windows - a treat. Drinks, including tap beer, and snacks available. A big plus for me: unlike most sento, open in the morning from 8AM (on Saturdays and Sundays). If you read their website, you can see that they had and still have doubts about how to distribute men's and women's days. I guess it's just a business decision. If the current few women's days are very crowded, I guess they will increase the number of women's days. I enjoyed the entire experience. PS shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided. Bring your own big and face towel.

Simple facilities with your generic hot bath, mist sauna and ice bath. It's spacious and clean for the most part. Unlike other Sento they generously provide shampoo, conditioner body wash (very nice quality) and skin care/lotion from Muji. Which makes sense because it's around 200 yen more than other sentos. Not a fan of how customers were drinking beer and munching on snacks while they were blow drying their hair in the changing area. I feel like that should be reserved for the resting space upstairs...was nice but would only come back when there's fewer people and those with better manners

We stumbled upon this sento on the way back from Funaoka Onsen, and decided to ask if it was ok for people with tattoos - and thankfully they don’t mind tattoos. Me and my friend visited the next day and we were the only non-local people there. We stayed for 2 hours. there were about 20-30 people in there at a time with many coming and going within one hour of staying. Age group is mostly college age so 18 to late 20s. It was fun to listen to what the locals are chatting about. We were speaking English with each other so I think the locals assumed we don’t understand them so they were making comments about the two gaijin in a local sento which I find funny ;) everyone was polite and considerate. Generally, most of the patrons are very handsome which for me it was a nice place to relax and enjoy watching all the handsome men while writing BL scripts in my head. Perfect for a fudanshi! I’m definitely coming back the next time I’m in Kyoto. The place is respectable and not for cruising so if you are looking to cruise, you’d be disappointed.
