Great location, very convenient to many famous temples. They also provide Japanese style breakfast buffet for FREE, if you stay in the capsule. Don't miss it, big plus! They added two sets of washer and dryer this year (2025), which is much more convenient for long trip.

Terrible. After checking in and settling into our pods we decided to go out for the day. Upon return we had found that another guest decided to take up residence in my brother’s pod. All of his belongings were in there and the random man was beginning to settle in for the night. We quickly attempted to notify the staff, but due to language barriers it made the process difficult. When we were finally able to communicate our concerns the staff came to sort it out, but still the man defended that it was his capsule. After we finally got him out and into his appropriate capsule we had realized my brothers things were missing. The man denied ever seeing them and the hotel staff dismissed it. Next, they refused to change out the bedding, which was a hygiene concern as we have no idea who this man is or his personal level of hygiene. Eventually they obliged, but it created a huge inconvenience for my brother who was very tired after his last week and half of travelling Japan. It took 2 hours after that for the staff to locate and return his belongings. The next issue is the complete lack of respect some guests are showing towards the hotel as well as other guests. The relaxation room upstairs had multiple people fast asleep in the chairs, snoring very loudly and completely taking away from the relaxation intended for that area. Why would they not be asked to go sleep in their pods so that others may achieve relaxation? When I made the staff aware of this they just laughed in my face. I requested to speak to a manager, but that request was never fulfilled. The next thing is that the private shower rooms are disgusting. Black mold growing around the base of the tub and shower walls, the tub was clogged with a coagulated white matter preventing it from draining, and the floors of the change rooms are dusty and unsanitary. All of our luggage is also expected be kept on the floor of the lobby where anyone could really just walk off with your belongings. No lockers or luggage locks provided, just an elastic with a tag. There are guests who have gone against the rules of the sleeping area by bringing luggage into the sleeping area and being very noisy as they dig through said luggage. There are people having loud conversations over the phone and flooding the area with a heavy aroma of cologne. This stay has been unsatisfactory to the highest level. Avoid staying here at all costs. The only thing differentiating this from a prison is that you have the ability to leave during the day.

This was my first time staying at a capsule Hotel in Kyoto. Very good location. The sleep was more comfortable than I expected, and it was a wonderful stay. The baths were spacious and on the third floor, and there was a sauna (Finnish sauna), which was clean and great. There were a lot of Japanese people there. I unexpectedly met my Japanese boss in the bath. The draft beer after the bath was great. I’ll stay here again.

If not because it's fully booked, I will definitely stay in this hotel throughout my stay in Kyoto. The bed and pillow is comfortable, and the temperature in the room is just nice for me. Eye masks and ear bud were provided including the basics hotel amenities. The public bath and sauna were relaxing, especially the open-air bath. Another perks of staying here is it provides breakfast, it's wonderful that you could get a proper hotel treatment at this price range. One downside is that the locker room is very narrow, I could fit my backpack but not my hand-carry luggage. You have to store your luggage at the counter, which to me it's a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, with this price range, the facilities and offers from this hotel is exceptional. Would stay here again!
