When I was living in Uchinada, I treated Yurara as my second home (I gave 5 stars before!). Recently, when I visited my friend there, I returned to this "nice" home. I found everything was changed and became worse. First, my prepaid tickets could not be used (Mine is no expired date one. It can be used in the past many years). Second, the meal was very bad (Pork cutlet was pre-fried and placed for a long time. The egg was overcooked. Taste is bad). Third, some services in the past is free, but now you have to pay. No free razor can be used. When you want to use hair dryer, you have to pay 100 yen for only five minutes. The staffs became not polite compared to the previous time. I then checked the website. The "no expired date" prepaid tickets was cut on 2024 Aug, but actually I used their service in 2024 June and did not have any notice about this change. The notification period may be not long enough and no grace period for the old customers is their failure.

This is my first onsen in Japan, things you should know (on top of regularly onsen rules). 1. When you enter, you just remove your shoes and put them in the shoe lockers. They cost 100 Yen, and you get your coin back when you unlock it. 2. This is a “pay later” system, they will give you a wristband at the front desk and charge you when you leave. I assume there are RFID scanners for each area? 3. There is a no Tattoo policy (even fake ones), there is no option to cover it up, nor are there sleeves provided like some other onsens. 4. This is a male/female onsen, there are no common baths. 5. There are large lockers in the change room, these are free. 6. THERE ARE CAMERAS IN THE CHANGE ROOM!!!?!! I didn’t even know this was legal. There is nowhere to change that is not in view of a camera. -1 star for this. 7. The outdoor onsen bath is misleading. Essentially it is next to the highway, and there is….a TV playing next to the bath? All you will hear is the sound of cars, loud motorcycles, and the tv in the background. Visually beautiful, but the sounds are not relaxing. -1 star All in all it is a beautiful venue with many different indoor and outdoor baths, sauna rooms and such. Can’t believe it’s only $9 CAD (910 yen), then again, most onsens are around the same price. I would not return to this onsen due to the cameras and road noise.

No tattoos allowed. Last admission at 11pm.

Easy to get to from Kanazawa. Great place with many different cold and hot pools. Sauna was also great and a steam room. The massages are affordable and really impactful especially the foot massage

Great onsen in this seaside town. The onsen on 2f is wide and spacious and there's many typea of baths. One outside even has a tv! The first floor offers some great food and drinks and the prices and very reasonable. Overall, a fantasic place to relax in the evening or afternoon! With onsen+food + drinks came around ¥2200. When you enter you're given bracelet with a bar code and # which can be used to purchase anything in the onsen. Then you pay the sum at the end. Easy. The onsen can be reached by a 15 minute walk from the stn. Or by thy 100 yen bus.
