We stayed 2 nights at Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto as a family of four, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are a bit compact, which is expected in Japan, but they’re very comfortable, spotless, and well-designed for a family stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, quickly providing extra blankets and pillows upon request, which made our stay even cozier. I actually filmed a walkthrough of the hotel and breakfast buffet in my vlog as a memory from my trip. Good location and within walking distance to downtown Kyoto (around 2-15 minutes), yet maintain the suburb feel, quiet at night. The mattress is very comfortable to sleep on. We had good night rest during our stay. The room is small, but comfy enought for a family of 4, with 2 luggage bags. The room comes with an universal handphone charger, which helps alot with a family of 4.We love the onsen, my son and I shower twice a day at the onsen. 7-11 besides the hotel, and there's a good soba restaurant (Soba-no-Mi Yoshimura) opposite the hotel, right next to McD and a supermarket (Fresco - Gojō) selling good bento and sushi set at affordable price, on the opposite right side of the hotel. The breakfast is nice and well spread, loves the unagi with rice and the soft tofu.

I loved this hotel. The staff were very kind and provided my family and me with all the support we needed. The rooms were clean, and they offered both hot and cold drinks as complimentary services. The location is excellent — it’s possible to walk to downtown Kyoto, where Nishiki Market and stores like Zara and the Disney Store are located, as well as to Kyoto Station, which is about a 15-minute walk away.

The rooms are very clean and the facilities are well maintained. Towels are changed daily, although housekeeping is provided only upon request. Guests can enjoy free access to the public bath. The location is very convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the subway, a 7-Eleven right downstairs, and nearby bus stops with easy access to major attractions.

The Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto is located very close (1/2 block) to a train station, and it was also very walkable to many attractions. We ended up walking to a majority of the spots we wanted to check out in Kyoto. There was a 7/11 convenient store next door, a Fresco supermarket a few blocks away and numerous restaurants within close proximity. The very BEST part of this hotel is the onsen, which is on-site and open past midnight. The onsen is not too small and not too big, making it a perfectly sized area to relax and soak in the hot bath, cold bath or dry sauna. All the necessary amenities are provided by the property and there were also cables & chargers neatly housed in a small bag within the desk drawer. The Yukatas/PJs provided, were a cute and comfortable pant & top set. The inside room slippers & outside room slippers were both great to have on hand as well. Our room had a vertical shoe rack, open closet storage space and two movable chairs with a small side table. This was a HUGE factor in making the room more comfortable and a functional space. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for either business or vacation purposes. The rooms are decently sized and bigger than some other Japanese hotels I’ve stayed at. They don’t clean your room on a daily basis, but will provide clean towels and empty trash every morning if you place the used ones/trash outside of your door before 10am. You will need to notify the front desk after two nights stay in order to have your room cleaned, but it was easy to request a cleaning the morning of before 10am.
