Great location, close to the Kyoto station. Room is quite spacious with a very good layout and design, like having usb ports at the bed etc. Alot of free services like laundry(dryer excluded), onsen, ice cream, night-time ramen. Breakfast is good too. Probably the best hotel of my trip in japan.

Love dormy inn group, most of my visits to Japan, I'll make sure I'll book my stay here, the staff are well trained and excellent service. We booked a twin bedroom, each bedboard comes with USB port for phone charge and lighting adjustment, that was really helpful, we didn't even need to use any power adapter. The onsen was a little crowded at all times. It's only about 5min walk to kyoto train station including wait time at traffic light.

So far, I’ve stayed in four hotels in Japan and this had the most spacious room (granted, two of the others were at a lower price point). The desk area and shower door need a deep clean. And the remote was just gross. Anyhoo, it was absolutely fabulous to finish each busy day with ramen, an onsen visit and a popsicle. The morning probiotic drink, a plus. This has also been the best smelling hotel I’ve stayed in, ever! Not the warmest staff compared to the other hotels but still helpful. Luggage transfer payment was cash only. I was able to use a credit card at a different hotel.

Best hotel we have ever stayed at!!! 100% recommendation Only a few minutes walk to Kyoto station. Lawson is right next door. Overall a really good location. Room was cleaned everyday. Staff will call to your room to ask whether you need cleaning service or not. The cleaning lady has always done a great job, our room was spotless. We had a twin bed room. Room-size is good, compared to the normal room-size in the most Japan hotels. Highlight of my 5-night stay here was the delicious buffet breakfast (majority japanese style, western style also available) the free ice cream, free yakult and free soba noodles at night. All of them are truly amazing. Cannot forget the onsen on 9th floor, really clean and comfortable to use. It is never crowed so you will definitely have time to relax here. They also offer free washing machine next to the onsen area, dryer is available to use with 100yen for 20 minutes. How amazing and convenient is that!!! Honestly, Dormy was not our first option since we want to book the viral hotel on social media. But after researching for a while and finding out that Dormy also offers the same services and not too overhyped and overcrowded like the other one, we switched to Dormy and never regret that decision. Thank you so much for the experience you gave us and we will definitely come back the next time we visit Japan!

While the rooms might not be large, the location, amenities, staff, and coziness make this a perfect spot to rest during your visit to Kyoto. It was a quick walk from the train station to the hotel, and since we arrived prior to the 3pm check in the staff held our bags while we went exploring. We didn't return until 7pm, and we discovered that the staff had kindly taken our bags to the room already. Don't pass up the on-site onsen or the additional included extras with the hotel. Having a washer and dryer on the property was a massive help for us. We both enjoyed a 30 minute massage that cost around $25.00, and the experience was impressive and relaxing. Very happy with our 3 days at the Dormy Inn in Kyoto
