Beautiful place. Surprisingly big. Highly recommended Very good dinner and breakfast has a very good variety too. Good hotspring with good variety - there are 2 floors with options to book private onsen too Friendly staff that is able to speak English There was shuttle bus to go to Dogo onsen. There were toys, toothbrush and yukata for kids too. Also ball pit and udon making for kids which was delightful. We were also very lucky that there was a summer festival game in the lobby too.

High points: - Kid friendly Kaiseki meals: They actually make different meals for the kids. This was huge for my family. (Even though I personally have to apologize for the fact that one of my kids is a very picky eater.) - Large Bath Variety: They have two floors of baths, so about 6 different baths available at any given time, not including the private baths. - Sky Lounge for 12th floor rooms - A beautiful lounge with snacks and drinks for 12th floor guests with a view of Matsuyama. - The whole property is well maintained, way above what I have seen at similar properties with a rich history. - Shuttle service to Dogo Onsen and the tram. Dogo Prince Hotel exceeded all my expectations. I stayed with a family of 5 in one of the western/japanese rooms on the 12th floor for 3 days. This was one of the few splurge hotels we stayed at on our last trip. Initially I was comparing onsens in the area and was really tempted to select a different onsen which was better know for their meal quality. However I decided to stay at the Dogo Prince Hotel because it seemed to be more kid friendly, and I am happy I made that choice. Tip: If you are travelling on the tram from the JR Matsuyama Station, don't get off at Dogo Park stop, instead take the tram to the Dogo Onsen station where you can catch the shuttle to the hotel so you don't have to walk. During my trips to Japan I have stayed at 10+ onsens around the country and this is by far my current best for families.

We didn't stay the night but went for the private onsen that are available to rent for 5,5k yen. The staff were friendly and helpful as we showed up with no reservation and were able to proceed to the bath right away. The after-bath drink was included, a refreshingly nice cold green tea. Very much recommended.

Great location, facilities are all well kept. Lots to do for families. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for a disappointing dinner service. The quality of the food was excellent and the menu looked beautiful. Unfortunately it seems that several areas in the hotel may be short of staff. Hopefully they resolve these issues soon.

Stayed here one night, and found everything about this hotel was good. Free pick up near the Dogo onsen tram stop, and the shuttle was actually going around in a small circle of the area so very often, making visiting the places in the neighbourhood very convenient.
