Just 7 rooms and it should have 7 stars to describe this place. We enjoyed every minute in this magical place. The design is one of a kind. Thank you Tadao Ando and the entire team for creating this place.

Really the most wonderful Place to find to find out that your fiancé has been cheating on you for over a year! Only 7 rooms, the view was spectacular, and the food with ehime sake pairing was perfect. I really appreciated how the sommelier spent the time to go through all the details of the sake. The underground pool was so big and the sauna was great. In this time of year you get leaves and ocean that looks like the paintings. Onsen in the room is very soothing with great drinks in case you wake up in the middle of the night and find out the love of your life is texting “I miss you” to some Japanese girl. Speakers and drinks in the lounge are amazing.

Amazing stay in a beautiful hotel designed by Tadao Ando. Service, pool and breakfast were amazing. The room was really great but a tiny bit disappointed by the bathroom which was a bit weird and not so beautiful especially compared to the rest. Lunch was also so-so. We didn’t have dinner there but regretted the lack of simple options (only a very expensive one).

Excellent stay! The building designed by Ando is spectacular. The view and sunset from the room was amazing. Service, food and the room were top notch. The only down side is the aircon can be a little noisy.

A great retreat from the busy city life to wind down and relax. The design and architecture is simple yet brilliant. The small amount of rooms ensure a quiet resort with more attention from the friendly, attentive, bilingual staff for every need. Rooms are very big and come with everything needed. Balcony view is very beautiful but it's not easy to see stars as light pollution is still present. The meals served are Japanese style, so people who are not comfortable with Japanese taste will find it bland or not delicious. Otherwise, the food is great and very high class. The private pool is a must; swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. An experience that should not be missed. For people who are planning to tour Matsuyama city, the location of the hotel might be its only drawback to a certain extent. As traveling to the city will take around 30 minutes from the hotel. Otherwise, the location is fantastic. Highly recommended for honeymoons, marriage anniversaries, or couples in general.
