This place is truly exceptional. The baths are excellent – varied, beautifully designed, and creating a perfectly relaxing atmosphere. Special mention to the sauna (beautiful lighting, pleasant sent) and its staff who regularly perform the “waving” ritual, adding a unique and soothing touch. Outside the bathing area, the huge relaxation zone is a real highlight, with countless cosy little corners where you can nest, unwind, or dive into one of the many books available in the lovely library. The restaurant is also great: delicious food, a solid menu, and friendly service. All in all, it’s an outstanding wellness spot with a beautiful atmosphere – perfect for relaxing, bathing, chilling, reading, and enjoying a good meal. With very fair prices. Absolutely lovely!

The Auto ticket system upgrade is inconvenient for the customers now. Before there was a nice welcome and the flow of customers in and out was easy. The parking system was simple too. Now the auto system has long queues and there is only one parking machine which creates a long queue. Inconvenient for the customers who have to wait outside in the rain. I hope this review reaches management to reverse the upgrade or improve it. I understand that this is to cut labour costs and replace people with machines although the price of entry is the same. I have been coming here on a regular basis for 10 years and I love this onsen, saunas and cold pools and would to continue to visit.

It is a very modern onsen and pretty god quality. Had to bring down the starts due to being very expensive, no jet pools and temperature was a bit low, only 1 pool was properly hot. A bit crowded and a lot of chatting inside. They have. Parking available annd great relaxation areas. No sure if i was tatoo friendly or not. Didn't see any tatoos inside though

One JR Station away from Shizuoka station. One way train is 150 Yen. It's right out outside of Higashi Shizuoka station. Everything is easy to follow. You pay after you use the facility. Weekday is 990 Yen and weekend 1,100 Yen. While most of the facility is just normal service, there is this standing onsen which I never seen anywhere else. I was in Shizuoka for 2 days and I went there for 2 days. It's always very therapeutic for sored bones and joints. There are some hairs floating around but areas that could be better. I am going to give it a 5 because it's always nice when you can go to onsen just one station away and right outside of train station.

Compared with Aoionsen Kusanagi Hot Spring (草薙温泉), this one was superior in 岩盤浴(がんばんよくor bedrock bath) while it's inferior in onsen and Jacuzzi to 草薙. Therefore, in rounding up, they're in a tie. Like Aoionsen Kusanagi, it's not crowded even on Sunday. Recommended for anyone who cherish bedrock bath. (Updated on 14/11/2019) I gave it five stars for its ganbanyoku (岩盤浴), especially the 汗蒸房. One should better bring along their own towel and beverage in order to save money 💰. NB: no face towel was given even though you're in for ganbanyoku!
