5件This onsen is very small and doesn’t have a steam room, but one positive is that they do allow tattoos, which is not always common. However, their towel system really needs improvement. They give you one small towel and one large towel. Naturally, you leave the large towel in your locker and take the small one into the onsen, where it gets wet. When you return to the locker area, you have no dry towel available to dry yourself unless you open your locker and use the large towel. Because of this, the floor gets wet, and one of the staff members gave me a disapproving look while he had to dry it. I’m not sure what alternative they expect guests to follow, since there’s no other practical way to dry off. Improving the towel system or providing accessible dry towels near the bathing area would make the experience much better.
What an amazing first onsen experience! Staff was very welcoming and patient with explaining to me how it works. After a long day of walking all over Tokyo, I really needed this. Awesome and chill other Japanese patrons. Definitely would recommend if you’re in the area.
I came in today to look for a vintage Chanel bag and Yuka was amazing! She was patient and showed me different bags and helped me pick one that I liked. It was a great deal and would come back again to look for more purses in the future! Service was great and efficient and traveller friendly, highly recommend stopping by!
Paradise is a small neighborhood sento that has been remodeled and updated. It is not a place to visit as a large group but ideal for 1-2 people. While it is small, it does have everything you need for a refresh, and it was a perfect stop for me as I arrived through Haneda at 5am. A short ride from the airport it is perfect for a short R&R before I started the first day of my vacation. I visited on a Sunday morning and while it wasn't crowded, there was a steady stream of people visiting. Also surprisingly, they were mostly younger people, I've always thought sentos are mostly visited by the elderly but not this place. Maybe they had a great Saturday night and stopped by on the way home? ;) The sitting area is very quiet and relaxing, and the staff was very kind. I do wish the entrance fee would be a bit cheaper, but overall, I would visit again if I have another early arrival at Haneda.
Dude, this sento is one of the best in town. Super clean and luxurious space with extra towels free shampoo and conditioner and even has mini private sauna rooms on the second floor balcony. It’s on the pricy side though, although they do have special value packs, 2000yen for 1.5hrs I think it was.
