Dormy Inn gets a 5/5 for the price point and offering onsen amenities at an affordable price. Even though the price is lower, my stay was wonderful. The hotel itself doesn't have much of a view unless you are on a higher floor (higher than 8). The onsen is lovely with an indoor mineral pool, outdoor onsen, cold plunge pool, sauna and shower area. We enjoyed our time and the facilities. You can get free popsicles after your onsen visit and free yogurt drinks in the morning. Free ramen is available from 9:30pm to 12:00am. The breakfast buffet has tons of options and was delicious. Although it doesn't have much Western food except for eggs and sausage. The majority of the food is Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Everyone enjoyed the buffet.

I very much enjoyed my stay here! Was in Tokyo on business for 4 nights and stayed here. The service was good, nothing special but all you needed. But the beds and the rooms were really comfortable. I slept so good each night. The onsen on the 15th floor was such a delight, you can use it for free and it’s fantastic. Also the location is excellent, everything is right around the corner. Ikebukuro was much nicer than Shibuya or Shinjuku. Will absolutely stay here again!

Booking two twin rooms for four nights in this hotel. As the hotel explain there is only one twin room in on level, we had to be different level. Love the mascot for Dormy Inn, is Dormy Inko (ドーミーインコ), a green parakeet fairy. We try to order one but had to purchase online. Things we like about this hotel: 1. Clean and tidy. 2. Free coffee machine in level 1 (not 24 hours). 3. Free Ramen for supper (level 2), the ramen here is better than 80% of the ramen. The soup and noodle are unique. 4. Location: Walking distance to train station. 5. Free ice-cream and Yakult at level 15. 6. Welcome pudding. 7. Lift design with little break seat. Cons: :Level 15 is onsen section, many people visit onsen which make the elevator waiting time very long. Very unique to see air corn split unit fan coil in hotel. Normally hotel is using central control air corn. Overall great experience.

Terrific spot, very reasonably priced. The Onsen on the top floor was beyond my expectations. Bed was stiff, and there are other pillows available, but the standard pillows were pretty hard. Very clean, and relaxing. They have a number of small details that really add up to a nicer experience.

My husband and I had a great time at this place. Even if you plan to be out for most of the day, you can take advantage of the free ramen, the hot springs, and there's free ice cream provided. It's a really nice wrap up to a day filled with walking. I'd also recommend adding on the breakfast buffet. Not only was it great selection and service, but it frees up the question of "where am I going to get breakfast??" if you're traveling. Other amenities I found nice included the free washing machines (dryers cost 100yen to use) and the Manga library right by it. The location's also great - it's right by Sunshine City if you want to do some shopping (or just window shop), a small walk from Ikebukuro Station, and there's a convenience store right on the corner! Overall, we'll definitely be looking at Dormy Inn's locations the next time we visit Japan!
