5件I had a good stay at First Cabin Ichigaya. The staff were very helpful and were able to help in Japanese and English. The cabin was neat, clean and good. Matrass and pillow were a bit hard/thin though. WiFi was good on all levels. It is very close to the subway station, so that is ideal. Breakfast was very limited, with granola and frozen croissants that you had to bake yourself. Overall it was amazing price/value wise!
Abnormally hot. Inhabitable and inhumane. The heater system is always on max heat. Horrible, couldn't be anymore excited to leave this place in the dust. Maybe before going I'll eat some more dough and soy product.
Location and staff hospitality were excellent! The facilities in the hotel are also nothing to complain about; the toilets and showers were super clean and during my stay there was always a toilet or shower available. Breakfast in the morning was also perfect! The only downside for me was the sleeping. It was quite noisy in the hallway, including a lady who was on the phone at night and someone who accidentally walked into my cabin. Of course, this was accidental, but it still disrupts your sleep — especially when you’re already struggling to sleep because of the noise. I stayed here for 4 days, and out of the 4 nights I only slept well for one night; the other nights I didn’t. Even though everything else about this hotel is great, I wouldn’t book it again because of the lack of sleep.
I stayed here for about 11 days at the beginning of my Tokyo trip, and honestly, it was a great experience. You can come and go as you please — the place stays open 24/7. The room includes a TV, a small dresser (which also functions as a safe), tissues, a charging station, lights, AC, and a curtain for privacy. It’s a smart and efficient setup — especially great for guys who don’t need a lot of frills. Not the cheapest place in Tokyo, but definitely not the most expensive either. It’s fairly priced for what you get. I much prefer this over a hostel — it feels mostly private, and I had no issues during my stay. If you’re a light sleeper, it might not be ideal, but I’m a heavy sleeper and appreciated how quiet everyone tried to be. When you check in, you can leave your suitcase with the staff, though access is limited. Each floor also has luggage storage with small locks, and if space runs out, you can leave bags along the hallway wall. Overall, 10/10. The staff was professional, the place was clean, and I genuinely enjoyed it. I kind of don’t want to leave, but I have to. Highly recommend.
My wife and I stayed here on our last night in Japan. I had a traditional small sized capsule bed on the bottom. I'm 5'11"/180cm and I fit just fine in the capsule. Before checking in we dropped our bags off at the Hotel and they kindly took them. The facility was clean and didn't show too much wear and tear. We sat in the lounge for a bit and had some snacks which was nice. I used the shower and spa facilities there which is always nice to have. The location is close to a major train line which is great if you're using trains but it wasn't super loud like a major station which is nice. I'd bring earplugs just in case since other may or may not snore or accidentally be loud.
