The Dormy Inn rooms were quite spacious, and the location was unbelievably convenient. You can walk to the JR Nagano Station in less 2 minutes and you can go to anywhere in the Nagano area from there. There are a lot of snack options as part of your stay including Free Ramen at Night! The onsen area has free Probiotic Drinks (Nissin brand) in the morning and Ice Pops in the evening And unlike most reviewers, I enjoyed the hard pillows. I felt less light-headed when I woke up.

Dormy Inn Nagano was a wonderful place to stay during our trip to Nagano in February. The hotel is clean, easy to navigate, and had large spacious rooms compared to Tokyo. We did have a bit of trouble booking this hotel on its website so we went through Booking.com; however, the hotel itself, again, was clean and provided everything we needed. The location was also spectacular, being only a 5 minute walk from Nagano Station. Lastly, the onsen (public bath) space in this hotel was awesome! Very clean and a great way to relax after a long day! If we visit Nagano again, we will stay at Dormy Inn Nagano once more.

Stay in January 2026 Dormy Inn Nagano is in a fantastic location, very close to Nagano Station. The breakfast buffet is amazing value, with great quality and a wide variety of dishes to choose from. We loved the onsen! There are indoor and outdoor baths, as well as a cold plunge pool. The hotel also offers free ramen late at night, which was a wonderful bonus. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. During my stay, I was feeling unwell and needed to see a doctor. Unfortunately, it was Sunday and most clinics were closed. The Deputy Manager, Ms. Mizuho Imai, was incredibly kind and drove my wife and me to the hospital in her own car, free of charge. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and support.

Superb location. Room was dated but clean and well equipped. We loved the onsen! Indoor and outdoor plus cold lounge pool and a really nice changing area. Free yakult in the morning and ice lollies in the evening. Very cheap laundry. Free washing machine, only have to pay for dryer. Breakfast was great too. Will come back if we ever return to Nagano.

Rooms and hotel amenities have everything you need - toiletries are just in front of the main lobby lift. Laundry room is within the onsen area at the 11th floor. Staff was very friendly and accommodated our request for extra pillows (highly recommended over the hard ones in the rooms). Free nightly ramen snacks, post-onsen desserts, free massage chair service were very nice gestures. Location was great, next to a 7-11 and near the train station. Great base for travel to surrounding areas such as the Tateyama Kurobe Murodo Alpine route and Kamikochi. Many locals stay here too.
