A nice local bathouse. Staff and fellow users are all kind people. Sauna is hot, water bath is cool (2 small ones), main baths are relaxing. Everything is clean and pleasant. Excellent value facilities. You should bring your own supplies. But they also rent towels and sell soap etc if you need. For a sentō, this is normal. I don't understand why other reviewers complain about this.

I have visited two bathouses in Kyoto. The previous one was a disappointed, then this one was even worse. Nothing particular good in this place, quite small. The thing was that they charge almost everything except the entrance fee 510Y. You have to pay for small cleaning towel, dry towel, shampoo and soap, even for hair dryer you have to insert coins to use. Really a ripped off!

this is local bathhouse. I stayed in hotel 200m far from this. When i visit, mainly senior locals take this bath, it’s clean. the sauna is extremly hot. the changing area is same with receptionist and there is a lady in charged and she can walk around. Locals here seems ok with that, they’re close.

Small neighbourhood Sento, very nice. 5 places in the sauna. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. We went there 4 or 5 times, just perfect after a long day of walking and visiting! Tattoos are welcome. They rent almost everything, soap, towel, razor. If you don't speak Japanese and don't know about Sento, research first how to act in a sento

Excellent experience, the owner is super kind and explained us everything, the rules of the bath is simple once you know them you are good to go ! I would recommend for gaijin to look online first, I talked to the owner in Japanese but you can use translation app, they are very happy to help you enjoy this unique experience, it's the best I'm so relaxed !!
