Felt like an authentic capsule hotel experience. Nothing fancy, but it was comfy. I got a 120cm bed on the 2nd floor. You need to trek your bags upstairs. Space for large luggage is on level 3. Otherwise the locker on your level will be enough for a small backpack. You’ll need to take your shoes off when getting around. Bath house is on level four. It has a hot tub, a cold tub, and a sauna. Traditional style so you sit on the stool and wash before going into the baths. I found it very relaxing. It was pretty busy, so might be a show if you’re not used to being around a lot of naked men. I have a tattoo and no one was fussed about it. There was a smoking area and that did make my level smell a bit. It was quiet enough through the night. The lights stay on so I needed an eye mask to sleep. The curtains didn’t make it dark enough for me. Showers had shaving cream and razors and toothbrushes. The baths had shampoo and conditioner as well as bod wash. There were hair dryers and that products as well. Glad I stayed.

The location is a perfect 5/5—just a 5-minute walk from JR Ueno Station and steps away from the bustling Ameyoko Shopping Street. You are surrounded by legendary food spots like "Ichiran Ramen" and the affordable "Minatoya" seafood bowls in Ameyoko. just go already ✨✨✨ I went there a few times. team keeps getting better. and now, it feels like a well oiled system. hard to get a complain. it's clean, cheap and comfortable. only men floors. hot baths available, sauna. it's a hidden gem from my point of view.

Overall is very good experience. However there are some bad things: 1. The cabin don't have aircon or fan 2. The tele is not working. Good things: 1. Vibes very good. 2. Location the best. 3. Crew friendly and able to speak English. 4. The public bath quite relaxing 😎.

Overall, I’d recommend this hostel for its location, amenities, and value for money. I’d definitely consider staying here again!
