Such a lovely onsen with a beautiful view, lots of space and delicious treats to buy in the shop!

I go here a quick after hike tateyama. The staff is kind and friendly. It's a good one with indoor and outdoor baths with reasonable price.

We visited as a British family of tourists in August 2025 and adored this place. It was so welcoming and relaxing. We really enjoyed the reasonably-priced cafe, the gift shop, the museum and looking at the Japanese people just chilling in the tatami room (we didn't go in). The women's onsen itself was great with an indoor bath and two outdoor (not sure about men's). The outdoor one was too hot for us, but just right inside. You can hire towels from the vending machines. There were a lot of vending machines for drinks and some brilliant electric massage chairs. If you plan to visit, put plenty of time aside as it is a lovely leisure destination and there's plenty of places to sit down. Coin operated lockers are also plentiful. A helpful attendant who spoke some English helped us buy our tickets from the machine. I highly recommend a visit.

Not a bad place to eat as there is a cafe where you can order some appetising yakitori, curry and hot ramen. The onsen is pretty good though there can be a lot of people. After the onsen you can grab some ice cream of variating flavours ranging from 170 to 200 yen. Don’t forget to visit the souvenir shop at the end. There are lots of parking spaces.

There is an old and new building so must redress up and transfer to experience other baths in the new facility. We came here after a ski trip in Hakuba because it would have been less crowded in the onsen. Also the husband was looking for a sauna; not many in Hakuba have it. I loved the 梅ソフト (soft serve dotted with dried plum).
